The TIVO Revolution
A friend once told me that TIVO would change the way I watched TV. I didn't believe him. I was WRONG. Those of you who have it know what I'm talking about. Those of you who don't, you have no idea what you're missing. You can actually pause live TV. Yep - if you're watching a show and the phone rings, you just hit pause. How cool is that?!? You can rewind if you didn't catch something. And, best of all you can fast-forward through commercials (as long as you're watching a pre-recorded show).
So, here's my problem. Last night I was catching up on A LOT of missed tv - Deseparate Housewives, The Bachelor, What About Brian, Dancing With the Stars (I missed the first few minutes), and then Law and Order. I never think to pause the TV to run to the bathroom. I still think, oh, I'll go at the next commercial break. However, with TIVO, there are no commercial breaks. I forget that I have to go to the bathroom because I'm so anxious to get to the next segment. So, Julie called me last night while I was in my third or fourth show. Needless to say, I REALLY had to go by then. So, I had to put Julie on pause.
Anyway, I'm not sure if any of you got a kick out of my craziness, but I did.
Did I mention I'm now a Stampin' Up demonstrator. Check out my website. The picture of me on there is absolutely dreadful. When I have more time, I'll post a better one. I'm a bit frustrated that there's very little control that I have over what's shown. Oh well.

Yeah, I agree it is a bit constricting (the website set up, not TIVO):0) I know they have recently asked for opinions on that and I wouln't be surprised if it changes soon because they do listen to us demos when we complain/offer constructive criticism. I find posting pictures of me very difficult (sizing, etc.) I think a lot of demos do these and have a blog on the side - like typepad or something. Claire
