Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! Did you all have a good holiday weekend? I did.

Christmas Eve
The whole family came over to my house for my Annual Christmas Eve dinner. Here's the menu:
- Beef Wellington (Yes, I cheated)
- Voeckler Baked Beans
- Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes
- Green Bean Casserole
- Applesauce
- Christmas Cookies
- Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake

We had a wonderful, relaxing time - well, everyone except me who had to cook. It was nice stretching the holiday out to two days this year. Ed and Brooke exchanged gifts with us on Sunday The day wouldn't be complete without our family photo.
We added a member this year - Brooke. Dad had a bit of trouble with the camera, but it turned out just fine. Off we went to the candlelight service at the Elmer United Methodist Church. We topped off the evening at Seibert's Annual Christmas Eve party. We only get together once a year and it's always nice to catch up with everyone.

Here are a few additional pictures of my house decorated for the holiday. And, if you haven't seen it yet, I added one of the finished craft room.

Christmas Day
This year Christmas was very laid back and casual. I slept until about 9:45. After picking up Gram, we started the celebrating very late in the morning. Mom and Dad cleaned out their basement this year. It looks fabulous. So, we were able to enjoy their gift to each other - a brand new, very large, plasma tv. They had a fire burning in the fireplace and LOTS of presents under the tree - all for me! Yippie! Dad's favorite gift seemed to be a set of cordless phones I picked up for him. He called it "the gift that keeps on giving" because there seemed to be an endless array of components that went with the set of three phones.

I picked up several gifts for mom, including a Christmas quilt. Apparently she's always wanted one of those (I never knew). So, a gift that I considered keeping for myself was a big hit. My grandmother received a beautiful, black wool coat and Vera Bradley bag. She looked very sharp modeling her new accessories!

It was a great holiday. I even got a nap on Christmas day while watching the Eagles game. Now I have an entire week to recover and find homes for all of my loot. I look forward to visiting with all of you over the upcoming days. I wish you and yours a happy holiday!!!

Kristin - Glad you had a great holiday! Thanks again for helping Al with the Stampin' Up order! I have so much to do now - and lots of stamps to make cards for everyone! Now, I'll probably be needing more cardstock! Hope to see you soon. Julie
