Update
It feels like ages since I've posted to my blog. But, in reality, it's only been a couple of days. I hope you're all having a good week so far. Did you think the snow was pretty? Yes, I did too until I had to drive in it!!! I hate snow and driving to Philly. But, I discovered morning coffee! Wow! I see why you all drink it! I had energy! I stayed awake! I LOVE the "Delay Brew" setting on my coffee maker! I'm doing that every morning! Look out!!!!!

Okay...don't worry...I haven't given up on my Scrapbook Store dream. My hour and a half commute this morning allowed me time to think. Here's how I'm feeling today. Yes, I want a store. What do you think about Ocean City, NJ? The distance has me a bit concerned. The summer months would be great for business, obviously! I would have to carry a line of Beach-themed products so people could buy stuff to scrap their vacations. I could advertise in out-of-town publications. For example, a lot of my parents' tenants are from Lancaster. So, I could put a blurb in a Lancaster magazine so that people could plan ahead and bring stuff to crop! During the winter months I could hold "Weekend Getaways" and coordinate with the B&Bs (or my parents) in Ocean City to attract women for a weekend of crafting and pampering! What do you think? It's the drive that has me concerned, at least during the summer months. I'd love to hear your input. I'd be giving myself an hour commute each way. That doesn't sound tempting to me, though. I wasn't excited about the distance between my house and Vineland. Oh, and people tend to spend more on vacation!!! And, I'm not aware of any kind of scrapbook store down there.

So, mom and dad, what do you think about an off-season tenant?!?!?!

Hmmm...it is too far for my taste. but I may just be being selfish:0) I think it would probably be more successful closer to PA, but the advantages and the winter crops with the b&b's do sound nice. more by e-mail...
