Fire in Elmer
So, my friend Elaine e-mailed me this morning to check to see if it was my house that burned down this morning. Luckily, it wasn't. But when I "rewound" my Tivo, I saw the news footage from the helicopter. I didn't immediately recognize the house. But mom called and told me that I should! The house was in my family for years. My great grandparents owned it then left it to my great aunt and uncle. I have very few memories of being the house because it was sold quite a few years back. But, my mother has lots of fond memories there. So, it's a sad day in our family. In recent years the house had become an eyesore. It's on a very nice lot on Main Street, but no one has taken care of it. And, rumor has it that there was a drug lab in the basement! I wonder what will become of the lot. The house was destroyed. It also has a funny odor - which leads me to believe the rumors were true! However, I wouldn't know what a charred drug lab would smell like!

I'm testing a new recipe tonight on Claire! She's coming over to stamp tonight and plan our weekend at the shore. I found it in a Weight Watchers cookbook. So, if it's a winner, check back tomorrow for the recipe!
