Saturday
I'm finally starting to feel like myself again. I think the combination of no food and no sleep was catching up with me. I finally had a real meal tonight - Chipotle! I tried to make it healthy - I had a chicken fajita burrito with only rice, veggies, chicken, and salsa. I was brave and tried the hot salsa. I left the restaurant in tears!!! When I got back here to the hotel, I decided to try to estimate how many points were in my burrito. I found out that all of the Chipotle ingredients are on the Weight Watchers site! My "healthy" burrito was 20 points. I wonder what it would have been if I had added sour cream and cheese. If you've never had one, they put like 1/4 - 1/2 cup of sour cream on it! They use a big spoon to pile it on. Oh, it's delicious. But, I didn't even miss it. Maybe it was because my mouth was on fire!
Anyway, I woke up at 5:30 so that I could attempt to squeeze everything into my suitcases. It actually looked like I might be able to get it all home without having to ship anything. I wanted to get to the convention center around 7am to get a good parking spot. I was successful. My classes were good today. I learned some fun techniques - color washes, dry embossing, techniques with clear products, and problably tons of other stuff that I've forgotten. I made a "Girl Thing" purse, about a dozen cards, and a very awesome magnetic calendar. I think I may try to do the magnetic calendar as a class. It was SUPER fun. Mine isn't finished, but it will be. If you've seen my craft room, you probably noticed my magnetic boards. Instead of drawing my calendar, I'm going to be using this calendar. Xyron makes magnetic tape. What will they think of next???
So, the best thing happened while I was giving my mouth a chemical burn at dinner - I looked across the street and spotted the only 24-hour FedEx/Kinkos in Portland! So, I don't have to worry about shipping - I can go anytime!!! I'll probably go around lunch tomorrow and maybe swing by for another burrito! I could technically eat 62 points tomorrow, but I won't. I can't wait to get on the scale Tuesday morning.
So, I hear no one has claimed the Mega Millions in NJ yet. It was on the news here in Oregon - the local news! They had the store owner on there and the guy who threw away his 10 tickets! I couldn't believe I heard it all of the way out here!
I'm not quite sure what I'm doing tomorrow. I'm going to try to wake up relatively early so that I can stay on east coast time. But, the whole daylight savings time isn't going to help that effort. My flight doesn't take off until 11 tomorrow night, so I have a full day to check out the area.
Oh, I almost forgot. Some photo subject habits are hard to break. I had to snap this picture from the parking lot of my hotel....
