Fun Friday
Friday was such a wonderful day (if you didn't have to go outside). The Pampered Chef Party was lots of fun. There were 8 of us here including our fantastic consultant, Michaela, and myself. I'm also looking forward to attending a couple of parties in the future!!!!! I'm making up for lost time since I had never been invited to a party. And, no, I'm not trying to be mean or drop nasty hints, I simply don't know anyone that's ever had a party while I knew them.

Michaela made a fabulous Aloha Pizza with pineapple and chicken and garlic and barbeque sauce and green onions and red pepper all on one of their baking stones. It was VERY yummy. She also made a fabulous brownie toffee trifle something or other that was great! I may need to buy the Trifle Cookbook.

Thank you everyone who came and for those of you who placed orders even though you couldn't make it!!! We missed you, but I hope I can see you soon! I'm sure you'll love the new products you ordered. Wow, do I sound like I work for Pampered Chef?

Well, we had a small amount of excitement on top of the party. My friends, Melissa and Jonathan, from Lancaster called around 9pm. Melissa is the Melissa H that comments frequently on my blog. Apparently their flight to London was canceled and they needed a place to crash for the night. They had a really awful time with the airlines. They sat on the runway for 3 or so hours!!! Crazy!!! But, in the end it sounds like they made out just fine. They simply shifted their entire itinerary a day. But, Jonathan was sad because they're missing out on the Massage Chairs in the first class section of Northwest. I think I need to book a flight and check those out. I've never had the opportunity to fly with a massage chair. Wow. Well, Melissa and Jonathan, I hope you're having a wonderful vacation.

Their visit gave us the opportunity to catch up. We only get to see each other a couple of times a year, if we're lucky. And, Melissa was determined to help clean up after the party that she didn't even get to attend!!! Thank you Melissa!!!! I'll be anxious to hear about the trip and see the pictures.

I always enjoy visiting with all of my friends. You may remember that Julie was borrowing my Cricut. Did I post about that? Well, Al, her husband, must be happy to see it go so that he can have his wife back! She showed me everything she cut with it this past week. She's been busy. I now love my Cricut even more just because I saw all of the fun things she made with it!!!

I hope Kelly doesn't mind, but I have to share this video with you of their evil cat, Ash. Kelly and Matt recently adopted a second cat from the SPCA and this is Ash's (their original cat's) reaction to knowing there's a new cat in the house. It's too funny.

Claire and Melissa (fellow stampin' friends) also came for the party. I love that we have our little stamping community and can share our inspiration and excitement and business ideas and tools with each other. Stampin' Up! has opened a whole new network of friends to me and I'm so thankful. Warning, testimonial: Becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator was totally worth it just for all of the new friends I've met and for developing stronger relationships with some of my older friends. The discounts and money that I make are just an added bonus. How sappy was that? But, it's true. Every week I can look forward to homemade cards welcoming me home from an awful week in NY. They cheer me up (no pressure to keep sending them).

So, now the weekend has officially begun and I don't know what to do with myself. I have two full days with nothing to do but play with new stamping supplies! I've already made 3 cards this morning. I also need to figure out what I'm going to order from Pampered Chef.

cool! what nice things to read. so how much free stuff are you going to get? I'm looking forward to mine:0) P-chef is probably the only other home party I'd repeatedly host. It's good to be on the hostess side of things. I always learn something new about food, their products, and on how to do my own business better.

it was a fun one!! thanks for hosting!

I don't mind you posting the video, that's why it's on youtube. :)
We let Spike (I think that may be NewCat's name) out today, with Ash loose in the house. It's very interesting so far, and not as violent as I feared!
