Back to Work
Well, it had to happen - my week of crafting had to come to an end and I had to return to work. I drove up to NY last night. Yes, in the Nissan. I made it here in record-breaking time. I don't think I'll post my stats - my dad reads this!

This week we're staying in a yuckie hotel. It's in a town about 20 miles west of the college in Canandaigua - I think I finally figured out how to spell it. I had to laugh. The page says they have "luxurious" new bedding. Luxurious, in my opinion, means fluffy, white, down comforters and six pillows on the bed with a pillow-top mattress. Claire can tell you what a luxurious bed is like! I think I heard her say "I love this bed" or something similar every night last week at the Marriott. Granted, this bed does have four pillows on it - and it's only a double bed. However, the comforter is one of those floral, paper-thin things that hides dirt. I love those new, white comforters because they show any dirt from the previous guest. Okay, it doesn't show germs, but it gives the appearance of cleanliness. Otherwise, I guess it's okay. My room smells funny and I can touch the ceiling in the "foyer" area of my room. But, it's only for three nights.

So, get this...I made an appointment for my VW for Friday. I asked for a loaner - they were out. I then asked about a shuttle to take me the 5 miles back to my house. They don't have a shuttle. What car dealership doesn't have a shuttle?!?!!? Apparently Avis Volkswagen doesn't have a shuttle. I hope my appointment is a short one!!!
