Convention - Day 2
Claire and I got a decent amount of sleep our first night. And, suprisingly (or not so suprisingly) woke up without an alarm. I say that I'm surprised, because it was 6:30, but with the time change it was really 8:30. We had our first all day session with Shelli and learned some great new ideas. Honestly, I've already forgotten what I saw in that first session. Hmmm...it seems so long ago! I have pictures somewhere. Lunch was rather interesting. It was a boxed lunch, so we were all expecting a turkey sandwich. It was an Asian Chicken Salad with Soba Noodles accompanied by maybe the worst cookie I've ever tasted. I'm a little scared about lunch today.

Our afternoon classes consisted of some Marketing Tips and then some more demonstrations. We learned about TWENTY different techniques using markers. I might have to have a contest to see if you can name them all. Some were fabulous, some I knew, and some.....well, I won't be trying. Our "official" day wrapped up at 4 and Claire and I headed out to do some more exploring. I think we've now seen everything in Denver that I have ever seen. I think we're going to my favorite restaurant tonight - the Rodizio!!!!! I'm going to call today and see if we can get reservations.

Finally, our INK group had it's annual dinner last night at one of the local hotels. Tina made very cute little books for us, there was of course more swapping, fabulous dinner with purple potatoes, lots of inspirational tips, and tons of door prizes. I even won one! However, the odds were in my favor since there was enough for half of us to get them. Several of the women in attendance are in the top 100 demonstrators in all of SU. We have a GREAT group.

Finally, we came back to the hotel and caught up on e-mail and things. Then, I thought the funniest thing of all - we both crawled into bed with our Holiday Mini Catalogs dreaming of what we might order today since today is the first day we can place orders.

We're looking forward to another fun day today. I'm sure I'll have fun stories to share tonight/tomorrow.
