Convention - Day 3 - All Swapped Out
I never thought I would say this, but I'm tired of swapping. I'm tired of lugging my swap basket down the street. I'm tired of fumbling with all of my cards, but it certainly paid off! Claire and I both ran out of swaps this morning. After we got back to the hotel tonight, Claire and I tried to spread the swaps out on my bed so I could get a picture. Well, only half of them fit and we started overlapping them. What do you think???
Today was a long day. We had our morning session where I WON A DOORPRIZE. Okay, chances are REALLY high because everyone will end up with something. Today I won a pack of 12x12 textured cardstock in Soft Subtles and a pack of 12x12 Designer Series paper. How fun!!! Some people won stamp sets, others won punches, others yet won brads and things. The prizes typically coordinate with the project being demonstrated.
I'm sure you'll all be relieved to know that lunch was a big improvement. After lunch and more photos of ideas (I've taken close to 350 photos so far), we had another fun afternoon of inspiration. Demonstrators shared ideas. And, there were even a couple of men! It's so funny to watch the men demonstrate!!! How do you meet a stamping man? All of the ones I've met this week are married. Oh well.
Tonight was our free night. Since I rented a car and Claire had never been to Colorado, we drove west. We stopped off at Lookout Mountain or something. I think Claire was trying to kill me! Before I knew it she had climbed down a steep rock wall and was peering over the cliff. I took a picture of that cliff after I slowly, very, very slowly, slid down on my butt.
After I got down there, I looked to my left. What did I see? A path!!! Grrrr.....
Anyway, here are some of the photos of us and what we were looking at!!!
We drove as far west as Georgetown - a VERY cute town with shops and restaurants, but make sure you visit during normal business hours. They close shop early. After our Rocky Mountain Adventure, Claire treated me to the best thing in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD. I'd waited over 6 years for this - dinner at the Rodizio. It was better than I remembered!!! Thank you Claire!!!!

Wow! That's a TON of cards! Can't wait to see them all in person. The other photos of Colorado are beautiful. My brother fell in love with Colorado and wants to eventually live there. I will need to visit sometime! Have fun on the rest of your trip!
Sounds like you guys are having a wonderful time! What a beautiful part of the country...
glad to hear that you're still having a blast in colorado. yowzas that's a lot of swaps. do we make swaps for regionals?
Holy Mackerel! Those mountains look gorgeous!! Wow! I'm jealous! I look out the window and I see D.C. Ugh. Well, at least today we don't have our paid homeless people marching and chanting to protest the drywall company that's working in the building...
