Job Update
So, the casino FINALLY called me back at 5pm last night. They told me they just couldn't afford me - my requirements were more in line with those of a management position. He said that they really liked me and would bring me in for a management position if they had one. Curious, I asked what the salary range really was. He said he could tell me the minimum salary in the range - it was half of what the hospital offered me. So, I told him what my lowest possible salary was - basically what I was living off of during unemployement. I also told him that if I accepted a salary that low, I'd have to eat ramen noodles every meal of the day. He's going back to the hiring manager - not sure why. I can't accept that - it's still a hefty amount smaller than my offer. Plus, the benefits are better and I get more PTO at the hospital. But, I guess if I accepted a really low offer at the casino, I wouldn't have to worry about PTO - I couldn't afford to go anywhere!!! Yup, not the job for me. However, I was so mad that they waited until 5pm - 7 hours - to call me back yesterday. It was too late to accept the hospital's offer.

Oh, the software company called yesterday too and asked if I'd drive several hours for an in-person interview. Not my preference. I said I'd prefer to do webcam. But, I guess I could earn lots of mileage with mileage reimbursement. Thank goodness they've scheduled me for a webcam interview Monday night. I'm really tempted to hear an offer from them, but I'm tired of living my life around interview schedules.

But the best part? Mom and I cleaned the big room in my second floor yesterday. I have four, HUGE bags of clothes to take to Salvation Army. So, goal #1 has been met for this week. It's great! I have to focus on the first floor now, but I can't wait to get up there and start painting next week!
