Concert Week Begins....
Well, tonight is my first concert! Everyone agrees that Trans-Siberian Orchestra was not a real concert. I beg to differ. But, I will agree that it wasn't a real "rock concert". After much advice from Kelly, I went to find my perfect "rock concert" outfit on Friday. Here's a picture of the shirt I picked up. It's not really me at all, but I was told to wear black. I also picked up a pair of blackish-greyish jeans. I hope to just fit in with the rest of the crowd. Do you think that's possible???
I'm going for a more toned-down look tonight. But I need your help. I've selected a black sweater. I'm wearing it to work today with a camisole underneath. The neckline is a bit too plunging for the workplace. However, I'm wearing it without at the concert since it's a bit too stuffy. What do I wear on the bottom? The blackish-greyish jeans (which I can't find a photo of online) or the slacks I've worn to work (similar to those pictured here)? I have both with me. Finally, my last issue is shoes. I want to be comfortable. I have black patent leather flats that I'm wearing today. They're relatively comfortable. We'll be walking several blocks to and from dinner. And, they'd probably work well with the slacks - at least I hope they do since that's what I'm wearing right this second. The only other comfortable shoes that I have are sneakers. I don't think the white and pink sneakers that I own go with either outfit! So, with that said, should I stick with the slacks? I really need your help! The shoes the model is wearing in the picture are adorable, but I'd die after one block in those heels!!! I'd buy shoes at lunch, but do you have any idea how difficult it is to find shoes in a size 11 on a lunch break? Nearly impossible! Maybe I outta get on Zappos today to find something appropriate for Thursday's concert. I have brown sneakers arriving today, but they aren't going to coordinate with my black outfits!
Anyway, any advice that you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.
So, what did you do this weekend? I had a very relaxing evening. I spent Friday night in Germantown chatting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators and a couple of future demonstrators. We had lots of fun and all kinds of tasty snacks.
Saturday was a wee bit more relaxing. I had a small stamping event in the afternoon. One woman stopped by to make her Holiday Cards. We had fun chatting and I worked on some projects for this week while she stamped away. In the evening, Mike and I went over to Ed and Brooke's for dinner. She cooked a fabulous salmon filet with veggies and baked potato. I'm intimidated by fish, but saw how easy she made it look and how delicious it turned out - I'm definitely trying it at home!!!
Sunday was completely relaxing. I had nothing to do. I skipped church, slept in, stamped for a few hours on some of my Holiday Gifts projects (which turned out adorable), did four loads of laundry, continued to advance at Guitar Hero, and then visited with Mike in the evening.
I couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

For tonight, I say wear the somfy shoes and whichever pants work with them. Feet hurting or not hurting can really make an impact on how much you enjoy your evening.
That first shirt is cute, and will totally work for the concert!! It's very Hot-Topic-ish, so the kids should approve as well. :)
