Happy Day-After-Black-Friday!
Did you have a good holiday? Did you rush out to get the Black Friday doorbuster deals? I slept until 9:30 yesterday when the UPS man rang my doorbell! I wasn't motivated to shop, but I did kind of miss being out there with all of those crazy people.
Thankgiving was nice. Mike took me to the Clayton/Pitman football game. Apparently both teams are having a terrible year which made the game exciting! Clayton won. Pitman came really close to toppling them in the final seconds of the game, but Clayton held on. I really enjoyed watching the marching bands. Pitman was impressive. They put on a nice show. However, it was Clayton's small band that impressed me the most. We were chatting with some of Mike's friends when I glanced over and caught a glance at the drum major. He was all dressed up in his FOOTBALL UNIFORM!!! Yes, the drum major was on the varsity football team! He was actually injured in the second half. But, it was different to see a football player directing a marching band - shoulder pads and all. Can't picture it? Well, you're in luck. NBC was covering the game, and they actually highlighted the drum major. Click here to see their coverage - it's the first piece after the commercial.
After the game, we enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Mike's parents' house. It's a small world! Turns out one of Mike's cousins is married to someone I know! You never know when you're going to run into someone!!! After dinner we headed to my aunt's house for dessert. It was nice that we got to visit with both families.
Yesterday was calm. I had a couple of people over to stamp last night. Today I've been relaxing and I'm looking forward to dinner at Border Cafe!!!!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Oh....and my thumbnail finally fell off. It's not as bad as I had thought. Apparently there was a new (deformed) nail growing under the ugly purple one. I'm glad I'm slowly healing...
