Great Weekend!
I couldn't ask for a better weekend - well, I guess it could have been better to stamp with even more friends this weekend, but I just saw Julie and Kelly on Wednesday night. I guess I can't suck up all of their free time!!!
Friday night Claire came by and stamped a few cards. Of course I had 30 or so projects floating through my head and I just couldn't stay focused. In the end, I made one project - click here to see it. Claire and I are planning a huge event for this Saturday. We're doing a 20-page scrapbook in ONE day. We've been having fun planning all of the pages. I have 4 more pages to design. They're floating around in my head, but I'm waiting for the supplies to arrive tomorrow night for me to be able to finish them. I also started brainstorming what could be our BIGGEST event yet - a crop weekend this summer. We'll see if that actually happens or not.
Saturday was incredibly relaxing. I slept until 10. I don't remember the last time I was able to do that! I then crawled up on the couch and caught up with hours of recorded tv - mostly General Hospital and Cashmere Mafia. With limited new tv options these days, I started recording Cashmere Mafia - so far I'm bored with it. Around 1 I decided that I should do something productive - so I started cutting supplies for the scrapbook pages I'd designed for this weekend's event. It took me THREE hours to cut them all!!! Since I'm only have done that means I'm looking forward to another three hours of cutting after I design the rest of the pages. Mike - hope you don't want to see me too much this week!!!! Or, we can just watch tv in the craft room!!!!! I did design one more page. It's taking me awhile because I'm doing it backwards. It's so much faster designing pages without the pictures. It's the pictures that really slow me down. Well, the page I designed on Saturday had pictures - that way people could get an idea of what it looked like. Well, the most simple of all of my pages has taken hours and still isn't finished yet! I had to quit because it was time to get ready to go out with Mike and his friends to The Pennant in Westville. We had a good time as usual with his friends!
Sunday was the big day. It was moving day for my Treadmill. I invited Mike, my parents, and Ed and Brooke over for the big event! I think the guys got the 217 pound box upstairs relatively easily. Apparently my brother probably suffered the worst. Tomorrow night Mike's going to try to assemble the thing. This will be interesting. It's going in my bedroom for the time being. The smaller of the two rooms upstairs isn't very well sealed and it's FREEZING. So, once we can get it a little more insulated, I'll transform that room. I also cooked the whole "team" dinner. So, I decided to do a baked ham with mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, biscuits, green bean casserole, and baked beans. For dessert we had freshly baked apple pie a la mode. But, more importantly, we all had a nice time visiting with each other. I need to have help moving furniture more often!!! Just kidding - I just need to invite the family over more often! It was the perfect way to end a relaxing weekend.
