SuperBowl and Birthdays
What did you think of the SuperBowl last night? I thought we could have done without the 2nd and 3rd quarters. I was pretty bored until the final minutes of the game when it got interesting. Now, I know Mike will probably disagree with me. He thought it was more interesting than that. I had more fun playing with Mike's sister's dogs. They have two chihuahua's and a brussels griffon. I fell in love with the brussels griffon. I wanted to take him home by the end of the night. So, you can guess what I've been researching this morning! You guessed it, fences! If I'm gonna have a dog, I need to fence in my backyard again!

Anyway, I am torn about the game's results. I was in a pool and would have won over $60 if the Patriots had won by 10. However, I really didn't want to see them win. So, I'm happy and sad about the outcome. Being in a pool makes watching the game a bit more interesting.

Besides the Super Bowl, it was Mike's birthday weekend! We celebrated Saturday night by going to dinner at Bookbinders in Old City. We had a fabulous dinner then walked around the city for a bit. It was a nice evening for a walk - not too cold. We (or maybe just me) enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Parking Authority at work. Have you been watching Parking Wars? It's a fun new reality tv series based upon the Philadelphia Parking Authority so I was on the lookout for new reality tv celebrities. It's a tv show Mike and I enjoy watching. Anyway, back to dinner....Mike had a swordfish special with shrimp in a scampi sauce. He let me try it and it was fabulous. I couldn't control myself and had to get filet and lobster! Apparently they have one of the largest lobster tanks. So, I enjoyed watching our server pluck my dinner from the tank. Is that sick or what? And, if you do go there, plan to share the desserts! Mike ordered the cheesecake and got TWO slices. I ordered the Chocolate Bombe and it could have easily served 6 people.

We celebrated Mike's birthday with his family last night. We sat around and enjoyed dinner before the game began. I hope Mike enjoyed his birthday as much as I did. I'm also going to enjoy sharing his gifts - his sister got him gift cards to several restaurants and to the movies!!! Maybe I can even convince him to share the Barnes and Noble gift card with me at their cafe! Just kidding....

What was your favorite commercial? I agree that the 4th quarter was the most exciting. Jonathan's favorite part was the tasty food at the party we attended! Sounds like you had another wonderful weekend. Happy Belated B-day, Mike...
