Sorry I've been away...I helped 30 people make over 300 cards this past weekend and have been getting over being sick all week. Whew. Anyway, I wanted to tell you about this super-fun restaurant Mike and I tried last weekend - Mamma Maria's. We went with a group of his friends. The best part about this restaurant was what greeted us on the table when we arrived - free wine. They make their own wine, and it's fabulous. There were also roasted veggies and bread, but who saw them!?!?!? Anyway, once everyone arrived, our server explained how everything works. They serve you whatever soup they've made that day. On Saturday, they served a chicken soup. Each bowl had two tortilla-wrapped chicken things in chicken broth. It was light and tasty. Next, came the pasta course. They served us a tri-pasta dish. Each portion was small. The pastas were topped with a rose sauce, alfredo sauce, and a marinara. I was afraid we'd fill up, but no, the servings were small and perfect. We next got to choose our own entrees. I had the veal. But, others got a seafood selection, tilapia, or chicken. There was also lamb and various other dishes. Next was the alcohol shot course. They brought out bottles of limoncello (sp?) and other things with a tray of shot glasses. I'm not a fan of shots, but the limoncello was good. But, I prefered the wine. Next was dessert. They brought out several selections of cake followed by coffee or espresso or cappucino. WOW! I can't wait to go back. But, parking is a pain!!! Thank goodness Mike drove. So, the picture?
