Another Fun Weekend
It was another great weekend - relaxing! I had a stamping thing on Friday night which didn't run as late as some of mine do. So, I was happy to turn in early. I drove around for awhile on Saturday morning and got some quotes on fences for my backyard. I guess they were in the range of what I was expecting.
However, Saturday night was the fun part. Mike and I went to the newly remodeled, Italian Affair. The remodel wasn't the reason we went, I was just craving Italian. Apparently they finished their remodel 2 days earlier. It did look nice inside. After dinner we had tickets to an Art Auction in Pitman. I'd never been to an art auction so I was looking forward to seeing what it was all about. The auction was to benefit the Pitman Rotary Club - Mike's sister is president. It was a nice event. Good food, LOTS of door prizes and Chinese Auction items, and a nice variety of art. The prices were a bit steep, but I decided to bid on lot #101 - an Ansel Adam's framed print called - Mt McKinley Range. I figure it might look nice over my sofa. I bid on another picture that I thought would look cute in the hallway outside my craft and classrooms. It was of a bunch of mailboxes, but I was outbid. Oh well, we had fun and I'm looking forward to enjoying my new Ansel Adams.
Sunday was a completely relaxing day - and of course I didn't get nearly as much done as I had wanted, but I did relax!!!
