Hermes - Take Two
If you read my blog entry from early October, you remember that I had a Julia Roberts moment at Hermes in Virginia. Well, I stopped by the Hermes in King of Prussia tonight. There were actually people in there who looked like the could afford to shop there. However, I did find a friendly sales associate. So, I asked....I pointed to a cute, little, lime green purse and asked how much. Any idea? I was prepared for two thousand. No, I was VERY wrong. The price was just north of five thousand. Five thousand dollars! I wasn't prepared for that then gasped. She explained that they're handstitched and that some other, less ornate, purses are a few thousand cheaper. So, I found a simpler, orange bag and asked...that one was just north of four thousand. Well, it will be awhile before I can afford one - but mark my words - I will own a Hermes bag someday.

OK....think about it....siding on your house or a WAY too expensive purse. Think, Kristin, think....Julie B.
What does a $5K purse do? I mean, if it does the dishes or cleans windows, it might be worth it. But if it just holds your stuff well... if I had $5K to throw around I think I'd feel better donating it to charity than to those Hermes snobs. :)
