Artistic Weekend - Day 1
Today was the first of two full-packed days of creative and artistic events. Today, I woke up WAY too early (5:45) to drive up to Cherry Hill to meet Claire, but boy was it worth it! Claire and I attended a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator's Workshop. Wow! Do I have some project ideas for upcoming events. I'll share with you a preview click here. We made:
- Four mini cards with coordinating envelopes using "Pocket Notes"!
- A friendship card using a cool technique using tools I can't name! Honestly, it went by so fast, I barely remember making it.
- A decorated file folder.
- A fun, stamped "Love" book. Unfortunately, I must have left the cover up in Sparta so I can't finish it. Luckily, I ordered the right color paper which is due to arrive on Monday. So, check back for a photo on Monday night.
- A two-page 12x12 scrapbook layout using chipboard and patterned paper, stamps, and another cool technique that "spits" ink on your page.
- A 4x4 clipboard (not sure what I'll use it for, but it sure is cute).
- A decorated Mason Jar that can be used to give away gifts of food - like hot chocolate. (Look out, you may receive a gift).
- Finally, my favorite, a framed 12x12 "Season" picture that will definitely be hanging in my house.
We made all of these things in five hours. Again, it's a great diet. I forgot all about lunch until we left!
