Creativity
I've been feeling creative recently. I was inspired by my purse. Yes, my purse. If you're coming to my Stamping Technique day in February, you'll hear more about it. I have a Vera Bradley purse in Java Blue. I get compliments all of the time about my purse. I am in love with brown and teal. I even bought a brown and teal suit last week. Tonight I'm wearing a brown and teal outfit on a date. Oh, and I have brown and teal sunglasses that I bought before I even knew I loved brown and teal. I picked them up in Houston last September. So, I've heard that you should get inspiration from fashion for scrapbooking and cardmaking. So, I knew that I had to do a brown and teal card. It also helps that brown and teal are also highlighted in Stampin' Up's Winter Mini Catalog. So, finally, last night I designed a fun card with brown and teal. Take a look. Do you know what's really sad? When I look at my purse, I see Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Taken with Teal, and Cool Carribean. If you don't know Stampin' Up, those are the names of the colors.
Another new color combination I love is yellow and brown. Stampin' Up sends out a magazine each month to their demonstrators. They posted it online this afternoon. On the cover was a card that I fell in love with immediately. Since I have the paper and the stamps, I ran to the craft room to recreate it. Check it out...
Dress Update
My grandmother is a miracle worker. I'm sure you've noticed that I haven't been posting my weight online each week. Yup, I gave up. I know, I know.... So, there was a whole crazy swap that happened with the bridesmaid's dresses for Kelly's wedding which is next weekend. Chrissy's was order WAY too big. And, I ordered mine two sizes too small as inspiration to lose weight. I gained weight. So, Chrissy and I switched. The dress was still tight. However, grandma let out the seams and added material to the waist and took in the top. Yes, for some reason the top was too big. Apparently my boobs aren't big enough. Well, they're big enough, just smaller in proportion to the rest of my body. Anyway, the dress zips. No, I didn't say the dress fits, but it zips. I may not be able to move next weekend, but at least I'll be wearing Chrissy's dress! Check back after the 20th for wedding pictures.
Time to go get ready for my date! I think I'll be skipping dessert!

I was wondering how you were doing with the weight loss issue. Did I tell you my mom and I joined the Y and are taking a strength training class? I LOVE it! Let me know if you want to join in the spring! Julie B.
That's so great about the dress! I think it all worked out great in the end with us swapping dresses. I go to pick mine up on Monday! Can you believe the wedding is next weekend!!??
