Get Away
I've been trying REALLY hard all day to figure out how to get away this weekend. I'm failing left and right. First I wanted to go to Arizona. But Spring Training is screwing that up. Flights are so expensive and hotels aren't exactly reasonable either. So, after thinking long and hard, I decided against it. Next, I thought about San Francisco and Wine Country. I love the Renaissance Hotel in Sonoma. One of the best properties in the US as far as I'm concerned. I'd curl up in front of a fire with my book and enjoy the spa tub all weekend long. And, I'd get to have the best Eggs Benedict ever AND there would be tasty wine too. Hmm...maybe I need to revist that destination. Anyway, then I thought about Vegas. I forget why I ruled that one out. Then I decided AC - no airfare involved. All of the casinos are booked. Then I thought about the Seaview Marriott nearby. It's full, but I can still get in, of course. I even had a room booked there for awhile. I briefly considered Myrtle Beach - what on earth is there to do in Myrtle Beach? Why do people like it? (No offense to any of you who do like it.) Then I remembered Orlando. I wanted to be pampered. So, I looked into the Marriott hotels there. I even have one day left of my park hopper, so I could do Disney for free. I don't know...I want to get away. Maybe it's part of this whole mid-life crisis or something. I also briefly researched Miami, Marco Island, and maybe that's it...so far. If I can be patient, I can feed my addiction in two weeks when I fly off to Portland, Oregon for three days - hey, there are even wineries there!!!

Anyway, I had some sort of realization that I wanted to share on here, but I can't for the life of me remember what the heck it was. I can't even remember when I thought it. Oh well....too many jumbled up ideas going on in my head.

Tonight I'm stamping at Claire's house. Stamping is always good for my head. It gets my mind off of all of the craziness I've introduced to my life.

So, stay tuned. Hey, if I do go someplace, maybe I'll do another contest on here and see if you guys can guess where I went! Clearly I'm all over the map - I only wish I had a current passport. Man, I need to get that thing renewed!!!
