Good Morning from Inner Harbour
I LOVED my bed last night! Wowie! Although, I shouldn't be surprised, I love the fact that hotel chains are now competing to see who can have the plushest bed. Westin started the trend with their "Heavenly Bed" years ago. Marriott slowly started to improve theirs recently - even in some of their cheaper hotels like Courtyard. I didn't want to get up, but the day looked gorgeous, and I was anxious to get started.
I had to run an errand for a friend this morning. I wanted to get that out of the way first. Then it was on to some girlie activities - not too many because they can be expensive AND I'm here to work. Godiva sent me a coupon for a free coupon just last week. Well, there's a Godiva ATTACHED to my hotel. In fact, there's a whole mall attached! This could be bad. So, I picked up my free candy bar. Well, next door was Coach. I haven't bought a Coach purse in years. I cracked. I found a nice, classic, but trendy (if that's possible) purse. Let's see if I keep it or feel guilty and return it. Finally, since I'm hooked on coffee, I stopped by Starbucks and got a Chai Tea Latte. Now, it's about 11am and I'm settling in for an hour or so of work before I head out to lunch.
It was funny. Last night I was sitting at the desk in my room wondering if there was a Chipotle in the area. Well, I looked down and staring up at me was an advertisement for Chioptle on the back of the Baltimore magazine in my room! So, first thing this morning I checked - there's a Chipotle in Inner Harbour! I can't wait for lunch!!!!
Last night I decided to treat myself to some pay-per-view. Gotta live it up, right? Well, Little Miss Sunshine was available. And, I thought I'd heard that the actress was nominated for an Emmy. Or maybe the movie was. So, I thought I'd see what all the buzz was about. I'm still wondering. It was a waste of $13!!! The movie was stupid. Real stupid. I have no idea why any of it was award worthy. I do not recommend it! Happy Feet was also an option. If I get A LOT done tonight, maybe I'll treat myself again - but only if my work is done.
Afternoon
Whew...I'm stuffed. When you see the picture of my burrito, you'll understand. I found it - Chipotle. You want to walk down the pier, ignore ESPN Zone, Barnes and Noble, and Hard Rock. At the very end is the best restaurant. Believe it or not, I like Chipotle more than Border Cafe. So, those of you who know how much I like Border Cafe, you can imagine my exicitement as I stood in line waiting to order. I was almost shaking. As I ate, I tried to remember the last time I'd indulged in Chipotle. I think it may have been last March when I visited Stefanie in Cleveland. That's just WAY too long. I swung by Best Buy to pick up a couple of things on my walk back to my hotel. My headphones for work were in desperate need of replacement. Plus, I needed one of those USB drive things. So, here I sit. Getting ready to dive back into work. My hour before lunch was very productive. If I can be that productive over the next four or five hours, I'll be in GREAT shape! I'll share some pictures before I go....
Evening Update
I'm feeling great! My database works again! I'm thrilled! After my client decided to change a bunch of requirements on me which required me to rebuild the stupid thing, I'm back to where I was on Tuesday afternoon. The scary part is that it really only took me about 8 hours to rebuild something that supposedly took me two months to build. Hmmmm....have I been goofing off? I don't think so. This time I didn't have to rebuild everything from scratch. I was able to reuse a lot of my devlopment.
Wow...something is happening down the street. Eight firetrucks just pulled up. I was getting ready to go to dinner.....wait make that about a half dozen more. Golly! Maybe I need to stay here, in my 12th floor, front-row seat and watch. I don't see any smoke. There certainly is a lot of activity! Well, now it's just a bunch of silent, flashing lights. It's boring now. Oh my....no...I see ladders being raised to the third floor. Yikes! Gotta get the binoculars the hotel provided! No one went up the ladder and now it's being lowered....we're back to boring. Now they're leaving. Maybe I'll listen to the news tonight. Okay...off to dinner...I should probably do seafood, but Pizzeria Uno is calling me!
Last Update
Wow - I'm full again. I made it to Pizzeria Uno. Did you know they have pizza cookies there??? I didn't! That's a dangerous thing. I thought only Oreganos, in Arizona, had them. I don't think it was as good as an Oreganos pizza cookie, but it was close. So, it's time to get back to work. I stopped by the Lounge and got a final cup of coffee. I'm a true addict now! Hope you're all having a great weekend. Where should I go next weekend????? You do realize if I get this thing done this weekend it means that I get to goof off all week again, right? What else do you think is motivating me?!?!?!

I agree about Little Miss Sunshine. The person on the airplane to Korea was laughing the whole way through the movie, so I figured I should see what all of the fun was about. I was definitely disappointed. The little actress was cute, but definitely a waste of $13. Did you watch Happy Feet? At least you will walk away from that one smiling.
Glad to hear you had such a fun time in Baltimore... hope your drive home with the snow was uneventful!
Chipotle is great. I get the barbacoa burrito with hot salsa & cheese. Chrissy usually gets the carnitas burrito with mild salsa, cheese and sour cream. Then I get chips & hot salsa, while she gets chips & guac. The whole thing runs us less than $20! Not to mention the one we usually go to is across the street (about 2 minutes) from our new apartment! Not good news...
