I've Arrived
Hello everyone. I've arrived at my mini vacation location. I talked my way into a harbour-view room on the top floor. She didn't look too thrilled, but she didn't say no! This may be my last weekend - ever - with Platinum status. I'm living it up. I received my Gold card in the mail this week. My Marriott Platinum status expires on Wednesday. That will be a sad day. Marriott has been granting me Platinum status for years even though I haven't earned it. The last year I truly earned it was in 2003! It should have expired in March of 2005. But, they renewed it for all of 2005 AND 2006. I'm still thrilled that I have Gold, but that means that I can no longer kick people out of the hotel or get Welcome Gifts upon check-in. Granted, I never take the gift - I take the 500 bonus points. And, I'm thrilled that the Conceirge Lounge is open all weekend. Some hotels which cater more to business customers close their lounge on weekends. The lounge means free breakfast and snacks at night. I've already raided it.

I refuse to turn on the TV. It's a distraction. Although, the internet can be a distraction as well. I renewed my free Sirius subscription with a different e-mail address. So, I'm going to work to Christian Music. I tend to be very productive when I do so.

Oh, and I bought a book. I may allow myself to read it depending upon the progress I make. I stopped at an awesome Christian Bookstore on the way down, after dinner. My mini vacation started off with a stop at one of my favorite restaurants, Border Cafe. Look, I've been taking pictures.....enjoy!
