I Bought an iPod
I know, you all probably thought I already had an iPod, but that wasn't the case. I had been doing my best to not jump on the bandwagon, but I gave in. I figured it was a lot easier than constantly creating and using various e-mail addresses for free Sirius radio online subscriptions. So, I've been spending hours transfering music from CDs to my iPod. It's TOTALLY cool! This will be great for traveling. I wonder if I can take it off of my taxes!?!?!
Anyway, the last few days have been nice. I woke to snow covering my car on Thursday morning. I hadn't packed gloves and the car didn't have a scraper. Luckily it was light and blew off almost instantly. It snowed A LOT throughout the rest of the day. At points, visibility was very low. My flight was an hour delayed getting out of Syracuse, so I didn't get home until after 11 on Thursday. I would have slept in yesterday, but I had Michael's and ACMoore coupons!!! I cashed in and saved lots of money on stuff I didn't need. So, did I save anything??? I met up with Elaine for "lunch". We went over to the Busy Bee scrapbook store. They missed me. I bought tons of ribbon I absolutely couldn't live without. After taking her back to work, I took myself to lunch at On the Border, another of my favorite Mexican places. I love their lunch chicken burritos. They're smothered in this cheesey sauce. Yum! After that I picked up my iPod at the Apple store.
Since then, I've been relaxing and enjoying the weekend. Tomorrow is Easter and we're having a quiet dinner at home. I like having low-key weekends afer a week on the road. I'm thinking about going to Florida in June one weekend. I've never been to the keys. And, tickets are cheap!
Okay, I'm glad I only bought the 30GB iPod. I've loaded what I thought was a lot, 10 hours worth of music and it's only a half a gig!!! This thing can hold every song ever produced!! Okay, maybe not, but I certainly shouldn't run out of room. It'll also hold movies, pictures, and tv shows. How cool is that? It's smaller than a cell phone and it plays full-length movies! Except, I refuse to buy them for $15 or so. The screen is pretty small. But, I'm half-tempted to buy just one to try out.
