Unemployment
Well, it's official. I'm unemployed. It feels good - right now. However, I can't stop myself from logging in to check my two corporate e-mail accounts. Neither the client nor my former employer have deactivated my web access to check mail. Nothing juicy has been sent to me. Oh well.

Yesterday was relatively uneventful. I left G-town around 8:45am. It hasn't sunk in yet that I won't be driving back on Monday morning. I got home just after 3. I stopped by the lake house to check on things. It always seems weird to just swing by. I got two more calls from recruiters yesterday. So, my talent is certainly in high demand. Unfortunately, I'd rather my other talents be put to good use these days.

I woke up today at 8:30. I do not want to get into the habit of sleeping until 10 or later every day. I had a nice conversation with Stefanie - we missed our Monday night chat because I was out to dinner with consultants (who didn't pick up the tab). Then I headed out to meet co-demonstrator, Melissa. She had borrowed my punch box and was returning it. We always end up talking a long time and sharing tips! Next I drove up to Cherry Hill. The real purpose of the trip was to take my corporate laptop to FedEx to ship it back to our home office. But, since I'm trying to not make any unnecessary trips - especially ones that are 60 miles round trip - I swung by the old Commerce office! I visited with Elaine and the gang for an hour. They all know I'm unemployed now! I had to drop off Elaine's order and do some banking - therefore the trip is a tax write-off!!! But it's now official, I no longer have a company laptop. I feel like I'm missing something. Now I just have to wait for the pay checks to come flowing in. No, I'm not joking....they owe me lots of money! But, now that I've gotten that administrative stuff done, I can focus on some stamping and this weekend.
