Diet Update
Guess what? I didn't ruin my diet on Halloween or with all of that wine this past weekend. I stepped onto the scale to find out I had lost 5 pounds this week. That brings me to a total of 15 for the first two weeks. Yippie!!! I really worked the last three days to offset the damage that was done this weekend. Actually, there was no real damage - I didn't lose or gain. And, going into the weekend I had lost a couple. The number on my home scale was awesome this morning (reflecting that weight loss), but I thought it was teasing me. I try not to get my hopes up until I see the official number at the Weight Watchers meeting.
I was a bit worried that they might not let me get weighed in today. There's a booklet that you keep when you're on the diet - it shows your weekly weigh-ins. I signed up for a $12/week deal where they sent me coupons to last the remainder of the year. Well, I forgot those too. Luckily they believed me and let me step on the scale.
Trick-or-treating was fun last night! I probably had about 150 kids. Mom, Dad, Gram, and Julie stopped by for a visit. We've decided that we're going to start a new tradition. Each year, I'm going to cook a yummy (warm) dinner and the entire family (Ed and Brooke included) are going to hang out, visit, and hand out candy. Unfortunately, I had about 15 pieces of candy left. I forgot to bring them to work today. So, I just have one more day of exhibiting self control at home. But tomorrow's the worst day of the week - Bagel Club Friday. Oh, the temptation.
