Spinning Out of Control
That's how I've felt these last couple of days. I really thought I had an uneventful weekend planned - I was wrong! I don't really remember Friday night. Mike came over, I remember that much. But, that's easy to remember - he and I have gotten together every evening since last Thursday. But I feel like I race from one activity to another - and if I do happen to have an uneventful evening planned - I end up doing something anyway. I need to allow myself to take a break.

Saturday was lots of fun! I had my largest gathering of people at one class in my home - ever. I think I've had more people attend a class, but they've been spread across more than one day before. It was a real test to my new classroom. But everyone seemed to have fun together. No one seemed cramped. It was definitely an improvement over having people in three different rooms. After the stamping event, I went over to Mike's and hung out. It was a nice, relaxing evening - I can't complain at all.

Sunday was mom's birthday. It started out with a surprise call from Stefanie - she had her baby Sunday morning on mom's birthday! They named her Evita Layne. How pretty is that? I really thought she had the baby a couple of weeks ago, but apparently it was a false alarm. However mom and baby are now happy and healthy!

Sunday was supposed to be another relaxing evening. I was supposed to catch up in the late afternoon/early evening, but you know I can't do that! So, at 4pm I called up Mike and suggested we go to Border Cafe! Boy, do I love that place. Then we went back to his place to watch the Eagles lose. Actually, he watched and I simply passed out on the couch.

So, I figured I'd let Monday night be my relaxing evening. I had HR Orientation all day yesterday. It was painfully boring - except for the magic tricks involving fire. Everyone keeps stopping by my desk to ask if "Dennis did any magic". I guess it's a bit of a tradition. I was really productive last night - I got the craft room pretty much clean, balanced my checkbook, averted a financial disaster, and invited Mike over! I then proceeded to pass out on the couch. I must provide such great company when I'm asleep!!!

So, it's now back to my regular routine - maybe I can get back to my diet. My scale keeps telling me I've gained about 6 pounds. I'm not quite sure how. Yes, I cheated on Sunday - but not enough to gain 6 pounds in one day! So, I don't have very high expectations for Weight Watchers on Wednesday (or Thursday). I just need to get myself back into my normal routine - the one where I lose weight.
