BIG NEWS
Okay...I'll get to Easter in a minute. But, I have BIG BIG BIG news. News I've been waiting EIGHT years for! I had brunch with the Philly Inkers on Saturday and they told me the best thing ever - Chipotle has finally come to Philadelphia! If you've read my blog for awhile, you know how much I LOVE Chipotle. I'd go out of my way to get their burritos! I was introduced to them back in 2000 while working on a project with Arthur Andersen in Denver, CO. They soon became a favorite. When my next project was in Phoenix, AZ, I was in heaven! There were lots of Chipotle's there! But, none were even remotely close to where I lived back east. A few years later in 2003 when I was working down in Vienna, VA a couple started to sprout up. I was living in a Marriott that was practically located in the parking lot of the Tyson's Corner Mall - one day I was thrilled to see a Chipotle being built in the mall. However, I'm sad to say that I rolled off the project before it opened. Since then, I've only been able to enjoy the burritos when traveling. I'll research locations and have since visited their establishments in Inner Harbour, Portland, Denver, Cinncinnati, and on my last visit to see Chrissy and Michael in MD. But now, there is one "Coming Soon" to Moorestown, NJ!!!!! That's only 10 minutes away from my office. There are already three other locations open in PA, but I'll be a regular customer in Moorestown. Oh my gosh.
I had a busy, but stress-free weekend. Mike and I went to dinner on Friday night at Bonefish Grill in Deptford. It was good. Afterwards we went shopping for a new storm door for my house. It's very interesting. Since removing my storm door, no one uses my doorbell. They all knock. Everyone used my doorbell when there was a storm door. It's an interesting, and unintentional, experiment!
Saturday I had brunch with my Philly Inker friends. Melissa and I carpooled and stopped by Ikea on the way home. I took pictures, but they're trapped on my camera.
Sunday was also fun. We had lunch at my parents house and then went for a walk in the woods - I have lots of pictures from that - again, trapped on my camera. We went for the walk because the ground surrounding my parents' property is up for auction. We're pretty sure some developer will snatch it up - and the beatiful wooded area will be no more. After our walk, we went over to Mike's parents house for an early dinner. If I can get my act together, I'll post some pictures this evening.
