Day 1 and 1 Day to go
What on earth am I talking about? Yesterday was Day 1 of my vacation and there's 1 Day to go until the SU new catalog is FINALLY current.
Yesterday was fun. I don't remember a whole lot. Oh yes, I ran some errands, made a few cards, watched my soap operas, reconciled my bank accounts, went grocery shopping, all of my normal Friday activities. However, my evening was the fun part! Julie, Al, and I met up for dinner at Don Pablo's in Deptford. I gave Julie her copy of the new catalog. I was anxious to see someone's reaction to the new stuff or the old stuff that is missing. I think she spent more time looking through it than I did! I still have to sit down and figure out what I want to order. I think I'm going to move to Utah. Why? Because then my SU orders would arrive more quickly! Okay, yes, I know, I'm goofy.
Anyway, after dinner Julie and I went over to Claire's in Philly for her open house. It was PACKED! It was exciting to see so many people excited about stamping. I think there were more people in her house than I have in customers in total! I didn't actually make any of the cards - I was too busy chatting and eating and helping. I always enjoy visiting with my new Philly friends!
When I got home I dusted off the Wii and my new Harry Potter game. I played for an hour or so. Maybe it'll get more exciting. Right now I'm stuck in Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom practicing a stupid spell on lights, Incendio, I think. I must have missed the point to this exercise. I have managed to open and close all of the bathroom doors with spells. Very frutstrating.
Today I'm trying to be crafty. However, I'm having a creative block. I've been trying to make a Thank You card for hours. I finally have it - now that I CASEd one directly from the new catalog. I still have four or five more cards to make in the next three hours. At this rate, I'll never finish. Oh, and the house is TRASHED and Kelly, Chrissy, and Julie are coming over to stamp tomorrow afternoon. AND OH CRAP - I NEED TO PRACTICE THE PIANO. Oh dear...that needs to be my priority now. I perform in church tomorrow and am FAR from ready. CRAP CRAP CRAP.

Glad you had fun at Claire's! Although i'm sad that i couldn't be there, too. *sniffle*
I can totally relate to your sudden panic over realizing you still had something major to do. That happens to me almost daily! I'm sure you got practiced up and it went great at church today.
:)
I had so much fun hanging out with you, Kristin, and our fellow stampers this weekend! I love to get the creative juices going with other people who have styles different from mine. And, I was glad to meet Claire's husband, and stamping friends in Philly. Now, if I could only fine more time (and space) for my personal stamping projects! Can't wait til the next class in July!
I just realized the colors on your blog resemble the in color line. soft sky and guava, and the green is almost wasabi. :0)
how's about that next posting? :0)
